Kaerith poked her nose around the corner of a rock, her face lit up to see her sister was snoozing there. She stepped around to where she was standing right in front of her.
"Hey Gentz, apparently you don't know the meaning of hide-and-go-seek! You're not supposed to fall asleep!"
The purple tinted pup opened an eyelid. Her light purple eye seemed to glare at her sister.
"Who said I wanted to play hide-and-seek in the first place?"
Kaerith frowned. She had been begging and begging Gentza to play with her all day, and when she finally said yes, all she did was count and fall asleep as she went off to hide. It was easy finding her way back to the safety point, obviously.
"You're a party pooper, you know that Gentz."
That comment had made the purplish hued pup smile slightly. She liked causing trouble for her sister, mainly because she was her total opposite.

Husku walked around a small unused den and found Kae and Gentz playing together. He sat back and watched them converse for a moment, noting how so unlike their father they looked and how beautiful they were just like their mother. He would ask Nixti if they should tell the girls that he was not their real father, but it would pain them dearly to know otherwise. They had a right to the truth, but he didn't want to see them get hurt.
"Where are my girls?" He called jokingly to them, as if he couldn't see them. His eyes swept right over them, looking past them and ducking his head to see if they were in the den. He chuckled as he walked over, forgetting the charade, and he licked them each in turn, noting they needed a bath. He sat next to them and picked up Kae by the scruff of her neck and he laid down, placing her between his paws so she couldn't move. His tongue quickly, but effectly wiped away the dirt as he eyed Gentz. "Don't worry, you're next." He said with a deep rumble of humour coming from his chest. "What have you two mischevious young pups been doing?" He asked them, still cleaning Kae.
Kaerith heard the jibe before he had gotten there and dived in a clump of tall grass that was sparsely growing about the den area. Gentza rolled her eyes and stayed where she was, laying with her paws folded over one another and looking downright lazy.
Kaerith giggled as she was licked and then picked up, and began to squirm as he washed her.
"Stoppit! Stoppit!!! It tickles! 'Ahahahaha!!!
When Gentza got her lick, she tried to duck it, but was unsuccessful. A small patch of fur was curled up in a lick, which she took a paw and combed over it, smoothing it back down. Gentza kept her stolid face, and when he mentioned she was next... her face seemed to darken.
The small Alphess led the way as the others followed behind her. The dens were used more this year than they had been in previous years. That was good. There were more pups. There were hers, Aiyasha's, and Nixti's this year. A good batch of fine healthy pups. Though one of hers was gone. It had been stressful when she was pregnant and she was only glad that none others had died as well.
"Come Torrent, we're almost there." She said and watched as the little pup behind her scooted along fast, excited to play with others. The scent of Husku and the pups grew stronger and she found the father giving the pup's a bath. She smiled knowingly, think that Tor could use a bath as well. Altough she kept walking, she decided he was going to get one later wether he wanted one or not.
Husku had just grabbed Gentza when the odor of the Alphess and an entourage came into his nose. He continued to clean his daughter, but he was unusually silent, his eyes fixed on the spot that they would appear. Another scent hit his nose and he relaxed. It was his beloved, his Nixtanel. A smile crept upon his face and he sat back, letting Gentz go.
If Nixtanel was going to be here any second, he had better get cleaned up as well. He licked a paw and ran it over his face and ears. His goofy side smile was locked on his lips as he awaited their approach. He was already missing her and yet he could never get enough of the most beautiful fea in the world.
Gentz was glad for the appearance of the Alphess, for it meant her bath time was much shorter than Kaerith's.
At the sight of Nixtanel, both the youngsters ran towards her and began to jump about in little happy spasms. Kaerith being more hyper than Gentza, was bouncing up and down, licking at her mothers jaws as she did such. Nixtanel laughed and casted a look to her mate, Husku. Her golden-yellow eyes softened, and a light smile crept upon her face. Her ebon fur was sleek as usual.
"How goes all the fun here? Am I missing out?"
Nixtanel had meant the question for Husku, but Kaerith was too quick and eager to talk.
"Gentz is being boring and not playing with me, then daddy gave us a bath!"
Gentza gave her sister a little evil glare, one that told of how different the two sisters really were. They, indeed, were complete opposites of each other. Nixtanel caught the look and gave Gentza a small scowl, for she didn't approve of the temper. But she let that slide. She would talk to her later about it. She looked to her mate, the same question she held for him was still up for answering.

Husku looked at his fea and grinned even bigger. His feet touch the dirt and he walked quickly over to her, making sure where he stepped so it wasn't on one of his daughters' toes. "My love, you have only missed out on giving baths." He eyed Gentza and chuckled, "but I wasn't finished with giving Gentz hers before you appeared." He nuzzled her and gave her a small lick on the cheek. His bright eyes bore into hers and only love radiated from it. He had come back to earth for her and he'd die and do it all over again if that was what she wanted.
"But how goes all with you?" He asked, eyeing the company behind her. There was the Alphess, her new little pup, Torrent, and a male behind her. He bowed low to the Alphess in greeting and gave a wry smile and a wink to her. He was glad to be back. He nodded to the brute, but bowed low to the little Alpha pup. Husku turned his eyes upon his daughters. "Come now, say hello to everyone else, not just your mother. Where have all your manners gone?" He said teasingly, but with a glance that told them they should greet every one else.

Nixtanel geve Husku a large, happy smile as she returned the lick. She then eyed the two pups as if they were going to be in trouble if they didn't mind their manners around Vixen.
Kaerith caught on to the hint quickly and took her step-father's advice. She bowed her head and spoke, "Hello everyone!" She wasn't sure if she should address them all individually, or seeing that she was late, all at once. She did the later of the two and was satisfied with it.
Gentza flicked her purple hued ear and looked at everyone with her vibrant bright neon purple eyes. She stayed in her laying position, then gave a slight nod with her greeting.
"Wazzup?"
Nixtanel's attitude flared. Her pup was just comppletely informal to the Alphess and her youngster, and all she could muster was a "wazzup?" Nixtanel gave her daughter a stern glare. In return to the glare, Gentza gave her a typical "what" look.
"Gentza, I'll have a talk with you later. Vixen, myself, and Xayide are going to try and find Hoshiko, the little year old femme that was part of us for a while. Dahlia had returned, and was wondering of the whereabouts of Hoshi."
Nixtanel addressed the last part unto Husku, informing him of what their objective was with them being there and all. Her gaze fell back upon him, her eyes filled with undertones of admiration and love.

Husku eyed Gentza, but let Nixti speak. He would also have a talk with her once the group left. He was proud that Kae listened though, and he gave her a hearty smile and a nod. Atleast she had some manners. He didn't know what had gotten into Gentz, but she had better not be rude again. Though he considered himself friends with the Alphas, that did not give him the right to be rude to them, nor did it give his pups that right. But Nixtanel was the Beta Fea and he had no idea what that made him, nor what it made the pups. It would have been easier if they were both just members, but while others respected Nixti for being Betess, he didn't really interact with the others.
"Well the best of luck to you." He noticed that none of them moved, and he wondered if there was something else. "IS there anything else?" He asked, concern in his voice. Then it hit him. His mate had said that she, Vixen, and Xayide were going to look for the other pup, Hoshiko, where did that leave the Alphess's little pup? He looked at the tan pup and noticed that he did not speak but he had bowed to everyone. He felt a twinge of guilt for being wrapped up with family affairs, but it was soon gone as the Alphess decided to speak.

Vixen smiled at the sweet family reunion and her heart suddenly ached for her own family. Talon was gone with Wolfram as they went and he helped their pup find a new pack lands, and her own dear daughter had not confronted her yet. Her eyes alighted upon her youngest son, Torrent, and soon that was all she could feel was the love he was admitting for her. He needed her as she needed him, both for support, but he needed her to teach and protect him, to love him and to fight for him. That was good enough for her right now.
"I was wondering Husku, do you think you could watch Torrent sa we went searching? Seeing as how Talon is with Wolfram, it's been hard for me to have him leave my side." She smiled, it pained her to say both of the names, for it felt like she was losing both Talon and Wolfram once again. She tried not to let the pain show, but it was hard not to some times. The pained look faded and all that was left was a weary sense of relief as Husku spoke.
Husku smiled and looked at the Alpha Pup. "I'd be glad to watch him, Lady Vixen." He said noting the weary and tired look upon her face. "And maybe he would like to spend the night in our den with us?" He asked, noticing the relief on her face. He was glad to help, and if that meant babysitting, he wouldn't mind it one bit. When the little pup Torrent looked up and grinned at his mom and Vixen gave the 'OK' with a nod, Husku watched as the pup bounded toward them.
Turning toward his mate he chuckled and licked her muzzle once again, hating to see her go, but knowing how Vixen must be having an even harder time, for her mate, and the Alpha, was gone. He was just glad that Nixtanel didn't have to go on trips like those and he gave her a gentle smile. "I'll see you soon, my love." and he nipped at her ear playfully and gave her a sly wink. "Go on and search for that little one, I'll make sure everyone is safe and happy here. They'll probably just play a game anyways." His chest rumbled with the humor of puppy games.

Nixtanel tried to duck the playful nip but was caught anyways, and lightly snapped her jaws back in a playful sort of way. Her golden-yellowy eyes were full of happiness. She also looked to her pups. Kae seemed to have an excited air about her, for it meant someone was going to finally play with her!
"Thank you Husku, I'll be back as soon as we find the pup. I promise love."
With that she looked to Vix, a sign that she was ready to go whenever she and Xayide were.

Husku watched as Vixen licked her pup good bye and whispered something to him. Then the Alphess took the lead and headed toward the hunting grounds. Husku watched the love of his life for she would leave with them. Xayide had yet to say anything, but he nodded at the wolf, as they all took leave of the den area. He smiled and returned his attention to the pups. "Well, now that things are quieter, I'm going to go lay down. I'll be keeping my eyes on you so don't wander off to far or I'll have to ground you." He said teasingly. He knew his girls would go from where they were supposed to go and that the Alpha Pup would follow their lead. Everything would go smoothly.

Kaerith looked to her adopted father and nodded. She was the good pup of the group, so he didn't need to worry about her! She looked to Torrent, her own eyes filled with excitement!
"I'm Kaerith! Though, you can call me Kae!"
She set herself up into a playful stance, ready to run at him unless if he was about to jump at her. Her senses were alert and bright.
Gentz looked at the two others. Her purplish eyes seemed to roll in their sockets. She didn't want anything to do with them, and she was glad that Kaerith was finally distracted from her. It meant a nap that was soon to come undisturbed.
Ice blue eyes seemed to watch from the grassy spot up on a small rock ledge, though, she made sure she was downwind from the beasts before her. She wasn't sure what they were... and if they were edible or not.

Torrent watched as Husku laid down close to the den his eyes drifting off and his lids closing. A loud snore suddenly ripped through the den sight and Husku was fast asleep. Good, now they could explore. Torrent had been with his mother and he had never really got to explore on his own. Now was his chance. He was about to turn away when the other pup Kaerith spoke.
"I'm Kaerith! Though, you can call me Kae!"
Boy, she sure was a hyper one! He smiled uncertainly and noted her eager personality. Maybe she would want to go exploring, too. "I'm Torrent. But I guess you can call me Tor. Who are you?" He asked the purple-eyed pup. She didn't seem that friendly, but his mother's voice about manner's rang in his ear and he scowled. He had to be polite or if his mother found out, she's tan his hide.
A lithe red body wrapped around the shadows as best as it could. Down wind as they were, the larger cat followed the smaller one, knowing it was a bad idea. "We shouldn't be doing this. Your dad is going to kill me when he finds out!" He whispered under his breath, his heart racing fast as he explored this overly green place. The things in front of him made him stop. Food or predator? He didn't know. "Let's go back." Altan complained.

Fahra looked at Altan with a discerning gaze. Disapproval for him was evident in her little princess features.
"Altan, sometimes I swear you are a complete pansy! Some Warrior you'll make when you reach of age."
With that, Fahra crept down to a ledge that was closer, and in doing so, caused a few rubble rocks to slide down the slight slope. She slid into a tall patch of grass before any eyes were placed in her direction. Luckily for her, her gray pelt was similar to her surroundings; granite rock. Her ice blue eyes peeked out from her hiding spot, checking to see if any attention was drawn her way. She didn't want any at the rate she was going.
She glanced up back to Altan. The spot she had slid down was just a little too far to reach him at, and at an angle too steep for her to easily sneak her way back up. Her little ears pinned down in annoyance.
Kaerith smiled and watched as he tried to gain the attention of Gentza, who without a doubt, tried to ignore him. Kaerith frowned, a little bit of a snarl on her face.
"Don't mind her, she's sometimes the worlds biggest meanie poo-head. Her name is Gentza. Please pardon her for her rude behavior."
Kaerith was trying to be as polite as she could with the Alphess's pup, but couldn't help but feel giddy for there was a new face to play with other than Gentz. It was then that she heard the rock sliding against earth, and casted her gaze in the direction it came from. Her fiery orange amber eyes were alight with curiosity.
"Care to find some neat looking rocks with me?"
She was mainly trying to find something fun for them to do, for boredom of trying to gain Gentza's attention and proper hello was going to take forever. Gentz casted a glaring bright purple eye at her sister before turning over and putting her back to Kaerith.

Torrent, was a little hesitant. Gentza didn't seem to want to do anything and this was the first time in a long time he had been aloud to play with the others. A smile stretched over his face, much the same as his father sometimes smiled, and with his teeth glinting white, he was adorable for a he-pup. Mischief snuck into his eyes as he looked at Kae and he nipped at her. "I bet you I find the neatest rock though! But I'm pretty sure we could both beat Gentza at finding a cool stone." He said teasingly.
His eyes caught sight of a red splash but then it disappeared. He was worried for a moment, but the thought and image flashed through his mind once and then disappeared, excited to have some one to finally play with. "race ya over there?" He said as he already started to take off. His short puppy legs trying to carry him far and fast as he started to approach the stone pile, he skidded to a hault, his head turning around to see where Kae and maybe Gentz was.
Altan gulped in air as the princess slid down too far out of his reach. One day that kit would give him a brain anurisim(sp?). He too followed behind her, but when one of those things looked his way, he crouched low ready to fight for his princess. Nothing happened though and he was about to be relieved. "I'm going to tell your dad that you've stopped listening to me. He's not going to be very happy once he hears about the danger you're putting us in! We don't even know if those things are going to kill us!" He said a little deflated at how tiny those things were.
Then his heart beat quickened as he noticed that the pups had moved. There was one that came running toward them, and Altan moved forward a little to put a paw infront of Fahra. It skidded to a stop before he got to where the kits were and Altan knew they had to get out of there fast. There might be something bigger watching out for these scrawny things, but if things got down to a fight, Altan was sure that he would be able to keep the things at bay while Fahra ran for the Royals. A growl was stifled in his throat getting ready to be of use.

Fahra crouched lower to the ground. All obvious escape options were blocked, and they were indeed trapped. Her face scrunched in a scowl as she readied herself to fight one of these little beasties before her.
Kaerith gave a backwards glance at Gentza, then replied to Torrent.
"I think we have her beat already! Hahaha!"
With that said, she tailed the little brujo over to the rocks and began to dig, sending dirt everywhere. It was then that her puppy nose began twitching.

Altan crouched closer to the ground like Fahra had, his little body trembling with anticipation and some fear. He didn't know what those things were but all he knew was that they smelled them. He could hear them and recognized their speech for his own, but they were too far away to hear anything recognizable.
Torrent lifted his nose to the wind catching the strange smells that were mixed there. His mother had taught him many different smells so that he could learn to identify them and to recognize if they were dangerous or not. These were new smells to him and his little nose sniffed it curiously. It was close by he could tell, but how close he didn't know. His mother hadn't gone over that lesson yet. His eyes were alight with curiosity as he shushed Kae, trying not to sound mean. He nodded in the direction of where the smells were coming from and he lowered himself close to the ground. His nose almost touch it, he got closer and closer. He could smell the scents getting stronger and he knew he was almost on top of it. He jumped out of a clump of bushes, spying two little lumps huddled together. They were wierd creatures with flat fur and large paws. Their tails were thin and so were their bodies. They looked a little malnurished and he eyed them wearliy, not knowing wether to run or to play.

Fahra's fur sood on end, and her tail bushed out. Her ears pinned back, and with a sudden rush, leapt out at the first creature. She pared her fangs and hissed loud, making a quick swipe at the air, but missing his nose by inches. She decided to take the element of surprise, for they seemed just as surprised by what they found like their own reaction. She stopped and turned to face them sideways, her back in an arch, a strip of hair standing on end from the back of her neck all the way down to her poofed out tail, which was thrashing madly, explaining her cat-like disposition of them. Her ice eyes were wide and full of what looked like hatred. She kept her pink jowls open, showing her rows of spiked teeth.
Kaerith nodded and followed him on silent puppy padders. She crept with an ease that she had learned from creeping up on Gentza so many times. And Gentza got really pissed off every time she jumped out and spooked her anyways. It was then, a blue of silvery gray that caused her to stop dead in her tracks. The sight of this thing leaping out was enough to chill the blood in her veins, and pure fear hit her like a wave.
"Um... Torrent... that thing doesn't look too happy!"
The noise and commotion caused Gentza to lift her tired, yet lazy head. At the sight of the feline, she casually got onto her paws and padded over to join them, standing next to her little sister just in case if something were to happen.
With Gentza's presence, the little she-wolf's heart boldened. She could feel herself shifting into a ready stance, just in case if things got hairy.

Torrent took a giant leap back at the snarling thing infront of him. Now over the initial shock and surprise Torrent grew angry. How dare that creature snarl at him like that! He didn't do anything to it. He scowled a little puppy scowl and shook his pelt. His eyes locked hard on the kit and he muscled up his deepest growl. His hackles rose and he snarled at the creature snarling at him. "What do you want?!" He practically screamed, his little puppy legs shaking from the adrenaline and fear.
His tan colored hide was on end, but he hoped that Kae's and Gentza's dad didn't wake up. "Shhhhh!!! You'll wake their dad!" He said through gritted teeth. That was the last thing he wanted. He could take care of them by himself. Though the idea of Husku being right behind him gave him more of a back bone. If they woke him up, these things would be sorry they ever tried to fight them.
Altan stepped infront of Fahra his little tail bottle brushing and his claws extended. He wouldn't let these things get the princess! Then some how, he heard the thing speak. It spoke their language? At that moment Altan stopped spitting at the things. He eyed them wearily and turned his head to Fahra. "Hush!" He told her. He eyed her hard, daring her not to do as she was told right now. This was going to be a meeting of two males. The females needed to stay quiet. "We were just looking around. What are you doing?" He questioned as if Torrent and the other pups weren't supposed to be there.

Gentza strode up another pace or two to be next to Torrent, her features were beautiful, but full of disgust.
"Um, hello, we live here. Our den is here. And so is our dad. Be careful on who demands what."
Kaerith listened to her sister, and was awed by how bold and strong she was just then, facing the beasties as though they didn't frighten her one bit. She held her tongue, and listened. The gray one was ready to speak.
Fahra couldn't believe Altan had halted her bold reaction, but assumed he did it out of her father's respects... damn him...
Casting her icy gaze upon the wolf pups, she couldn't help but smirk and ask, "What kind of things are you?"
Fortunately, she kept her voice down, which would please Altan and hopefully keep him from pushing her about. Sometimes she swore he was there to watch if she would ever get a hang-nail. But such was the servant of the Royals.
