Requal was nearby, enough so that if Jarla were to turn her head lightly, she could catch his heatwave glimmers. The giant demon awaited any command, and also informed telepathically that Jarla was now part of Alpine.

"Jarla is here, and Lyon too. A few are on their way, Kaizun."

That was the gist of his mental note to Kaizun, and in the process, began to move and position himself in a good place if things went sour. He went to the opposite side of the wolves, as to have the cats surrounded. He could feel Kaizun 's intentions.

Kaizun became aware of new shadows about him, and was about to question it when Requal informed him briefly on Jarla. He eased, and waited a moment more. The big blue cat had finished speaking with the gray one, and he wanted to know what the gray cat had to say in return. His fangs were beginning to poke out from under his lips, which made his nose crinkle into a snarl. If there was something that he hated more than cats, it was only one wolf. But as of now, these cats didn't have a chance. Requal was here, and not only was he demon, he was immortal, until Kaizun himself passes away. So he could use Requal to slaughter these beasts before they could escape. His own crimson eyes glanced to catch Lyon, who stood out brightly in his red colored coat.

Lyon is going to get us spotted. He better not move an inch.

The thin form of a rather ugly feline meandered toward the other two, bones sticking out at grotesque angles. It was clear that she was extremely old, and that her body would not live for very many more years. Despite this, she seemed to be full of piss and vinegar, which showed in the peppy and somewhat speedy motion of her gait. It was clear that there was more to her than met the eye.

Despite the fact that she was physically blind, she knew exactly where she was going and exactly where she would be stopping. She couldn't see, but they called her the all seeing eyes for a reason. There was a bit of sorcery in the old bag of bones. She knew things the others didn't. Like the fact that the other two were slowly being surrounded by wolves. Not that she'd tell them. It was there fault they were being surrounded. And it wasn't her place to tell them anyway. What did she look like? Their own personal scout? She'd been enjoying a meal to come all the way out here... merely because she figured that Devraj and Rajuuk would be needing her anyway.

"I figured you'd be needing me, milord." She knew she seemed useless-- her bones were brittle now days, and it was more trouble than it was worth for her to fight with tooth and nail the same way that everyone else did, though, admittedly, she could still leave her mark. She was helpful in other ways. Acriel sat lazily on her haunches, the ever swirling pools that were her eyes staring at everything and nothing all at once.

Why was it that everytime Cade was near the river, something momentous happened to be occurring? He'd been informed he was to be made beta here, and he had come to terms with the old she wolf turned goddess of Hell Trance... He had realized that he belonged with the Alpine along these riverbanks. Now, he had come through the trees on the opposite side of the river to see if there were some puddles for him to drink from, when, lo and behold, there were two of the monsterous felines that had the audacity to try and claim the lands of the Alpine for their own.

The tall brute automatically dropped himself into the tall grass, where he was mostly hidden by the moist stalks. He could see some wavering near the felines... did this mean that Requal was there? Was Kaizun? Unfortunately for Cadence, the wind was not blowing in his direction, and he wouldn't be able to test the air for familiar scents. What was he supposed to be doing right now? He couldn't attack alone, if he was alone. He couldn't risk letting the lions see him if he departed to warn the pack and bring a party to fight them. Cadence was stuck.

Kaizun then tactically put together an idea. Since he could communicate with Requal mentally, and Requal could project his thoughts into others. Luckily this Telepathy thing was useful amongst having a demon.

Requal, let the others know that when I stand forward, they all do. I want to make an impression on these cats that they won't soon forget. No attack yet, just to bring themselves forward like warriors.

With that, he waited a minute for the message to be relayed throughtout whom ever had shown up.

Requal took the message in and without further instruction, projected this message into everyone's mines. Excluding the cats of course!

"Kaizun told me to inform all of you, that as soon as he makes himself apparent to the cats, that you too must step forward. Appear bold and strong, so these beasts will reconsider their trespassing."

With that message projected, Requal stayed where he was, and awaited further instruction. He was going to be sure that every wolf was alright and unharmed. Particularly Jarla.

As soon as the message was conveyed, Kaizun waited a minute or two more before stepping out from his brushy hiding spot. He brought himself ten paces away from the cats before speaking to them.

"What brings you felines to my territory, and without permission of entrance, may I ask?"

His voice went back to its monotone ways and his crimson eyes seemed to stare into their souls. Shadows licked up by his paws like flames from the underworld. His simple gray pelt seemed bland in comparison to any of his pack members. It was his wit that had gotten him to Alpha position, though, do not under estimate his strength. He was a well built medium sized wolf, and still a foe to reckon with.
